Although I'd like to tell you that I made the salmon patty myself but I didn't. It's a store bought. I went to Costco and saw these salmon patties for a really good price and I had never had salmon burgers so I bought them. They are very healthy, too. One patty equals about 170 calories, which is just perfect for my diet. It's actually filling, too. I didn't feel hungry after I had it for dinner. My husband also loved it so much. I just needed to think of a great sauce that would go great with the salmon burgers and I thought of honey mustard sauce. The addition of green onions really brought out the great flavor of the salmon. The sauce has lower calories than most typical honey mustard dressing that you may find at the stores.
Honey Mustard Salmon Burgers

Honey Mustard Sauce: (makes about 5-7 tablespoons)2 tablespoon low fat mayo

1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/8 ground black pepper

ReplyDeleteI just made these and posted them on my blog. I thought they were really great! I wondered if you deep fried your patties or if they came that way. They just look different then the ones I bought and I was curious. Thanks for all the great recipes. I just posted the Tonkatsu recipe as well- my husband was thrilled because he loves Asian food. Thanks for a simple step by step recipe! You are great!
ReplyDeleteLast week, my daughter and I purchased a bear honey bottle and creamed clover honey online for her slumber party. As we are searching for recipe ideas, we came across your blog and I think that the honey mustard salmon burger is very enticing. Later that day, we drove to Costco for the patties. We tried your recipe because I wanted to prepare a healthy meal for my family. It was superb! I think I'm going to make another one of those burgers for next week's book club. I need to buy more clover creamed honey because my dad used the last of it for his hotcake meal earlier. Great post, thanks!
