I know this isn't much of a "recipe" but I just wanted to share one of my favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwich creations with you. I am sure a lot of you are familiar with this version of peanut butter and jelly sandwich but I wasn't until about three years ago when one of my friends back in college told me about it. My instant reaction was "Ew!" and I never attempted to try it. Until I met my husband. Apparently he loved it, too. He made one for me when we got married and I took a bite and loved it! The other day, I didn't have much of an appetite so I made this treat. Oh boy, it was good! I used a raspberry jam but you can use any kind you like. This is also a great snack for kids who are picky eaters. My kid is a picky eater, unfortunately, I'm hoping it the age thing... but this he loves!
Banana Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
Ingredients:2 toasted white or whole wheat bread
1/2 banana, sliced
Peanut butter
Jam or Jelly
Directions: On a toasted white or whole wheat bread, spread peanut butter.
Place the banana slices on top of the peanut buttered bread.
Spread Jam or Jelly on the other toasted bread. Put it on top of the peanut buttered bread, the jam/jelly side down.
Enjoy!
