Hi everyone!
I hope you all are having a fantastic day! So guess what?! I'm leading a cooking group starting this Thursday. Here's the thing. I have no clue as to how I'm going to do it. I've never been part of any cooking groups before. I'm doing it for fun, not to make money or anything. We are just going to get together once a month or so and have fun. Do you have any fun ideas on how we could all enjoy the time together that involves cooking and food? I was thinking about, maybe having a themed party where everyone brings food. Maybe a little contest? I am not sure. But if you have a suggestion, feel free to make a comment. I will sure appreciate it a lot!! Thanks everyone!

Make sushi! Or, you could all make your own mini pizzas.
ReplyDeleteI hosted a cooking group before I moved. Every month we would have a theme (i.e. party foods, breads, pasta, soups, etc.) and everyone would bring a dish to sample. We created a ward blog for the recipes and posted them there and passed the website to everyone at church so even if they didn't go, they could still get the recipes. Also, each month, whoever hosted would provide a cooking/food demonstration (anywhere from making bread to decorating sugar cookies). Good luck, you'll do great!
ReplyDeleteThemes are good and you could all cook something special on Valentines or Halloween and share it with seniors at a retirement home or with families who might not have the extra money for such treats. Just have fun!

ReplyDeleteMaking sushi sounds like an excellent idea! I will do that since I know how to make it. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteYeah! Since it's holiday season with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, we'll have to make some holiday foods. That would be so much fun. Thanks for your ideas!
